RUMAKI

Rumaki enrolments for 2023 are now closed.

Pasadena Intermediate School offers a Rumaki (Level 1 total immersion Māori) with up to 40 students who learn through Māori philosophy and a Māori context.
While offering a full immersion Māori programme, students also have access to English medium classes where they will learn Reading and Writing have access to our specialist teachers and are able to participate in our sporting, cultural and gifted and talented programmes.
Waitītko Rumaki operates 2 classrooms of Level 1 full immersion students.
The Principal in consultation with the Board of Trustees will decide on the number of students who can enrol each year. The number of places we have available in 2022, is 27.
All applicants will be interviewed by the Rumaki teacher to assess their Māori proficiency.
