Testimonials

The guides especially Hoang were the highlight of the trip. Professional, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, humble, helpful – the list goes on. They are an asset to Pedaltours. The educational and fun aspects of the trip were unexpected and so enjoyable. Hoang was “Mr Google on wheels” for his knowledge of Vietnam. He really was great. We particularly enjoyed the horticultural educational stops, visits to local homes and the coffee stops in remote villages.

Alex was excellent; knowledgeable, patient, flexible, all with a great sense of humour.
Mark, USASouthern Scenic
Appreciated the two (rural) farms retreats! On the whole it was of a great standard.

Dear Angela, Peggy and I want to thank you sincerely for all of your help in making our trip to New Zealand a spectacular success! We loved every minute of our vacation -- and largely because you and Pedaltours set everything up so beautifully. The accommodations were perfect for us…. The bike routes were awesome…. The trip was seamless, thanks to your great planning. Happy to be a reference for you anytime. With gratitude
Mark & Peggy, USASouthern Alps 10 days
I absolutely loved my biking vacation here in Tasmania. The terrain was tough, but the views were well worth all the climbs. Brett did an excellent job as our guide, pushing us when he needed to and encouraging us all the way. Thank you so much!

We both just want to say what a fantastic time we had whilst away with Haoung and Mr T. They were both superb and they could not have been more helpful and caring. The accommodation was great and as for the wonderful food well where do we start. The lunches were a bit too much at 5 or so courses and then having to do it all again in the evening we were so full. The stops along the way were interesting and were well looked forward to. We did just the right amount of biking each day and enjoyed the hotel pool in the late afternoons.
Sue Storey, New ZealandVietnam Explorer
The tour you managed for WomanTours, February 27 - March 7 2016, was very well done. The routes, the daily maps, the individualized support from the van, were all excellent. Lodging and meals were just what we needed. Tony was a terrific guide, and worked hard to make everything happen, while still making it look easy. Thank you.
Jan Stone, USASouthern Alps 15 days
I thought the routes (roads), landscape, scenery and towns were all well planned out – made the trip! I’ve done a lot of rides and I can’t say I’ve been on a better route in terms of the above!
Kurt, USABiking in Bohemia
The itinerary was outstanding, the people divine, and the views: ORGASMIC! My favourite days were the first two to Munna and then to Kumily because of the climbs. I loved the boat cruise, and the last days of flat rides and a stop for a swim in the Arabian Sea! What an experience. The guides were outstanding ... they marked the routes well, guided us with the flag, had a smile at every turn, and provided us with nourishment on the way. On the houseboat we were treated to traditional songs by Siddhu as well as dancing for all. India is a magical place and I loved every minute of it.
Allison, USAKerala: Spices and Tea
The guides were excellent! They were always helpful, smiling and hard working. A true highlight of my experience with Pedaltours.

Land of Aotearoa

Unspoiled New Zealand – glaciers, rainforests, lakes and snowy peaks. Visitors come to experience our awe-inspiring scenery, to search for adventure, to seek out relaxation and rejuvenation, or just to breathe our pure mountain air.

The South Island has some of the world’s finest scenery. New Zealand was one of the last places in the world to be settled by man and it still retains a rugged, incomparable pristine beauty. On the West Coast see the spectacular Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers and the Punakaiki pancake rocks and blowholes. Lake Wanaka’s spectacular location at the foot of the Southern Alps with the wilderness of the Mt Aspiring National Park nearby. Queenstown is known as the adventure capital of the world.

The North Island is known for its volcanic activity, national parks, wine growing regions and cosmopolitan cities. It’s home to about three-quarters of New Zealand’s population. The Coromandel is renowned for it’s beauty: an outdoor haven where rugged terrain is contrasted by an idyllic coastline. The laid back culture, locally known as ‘Coromandel time’, encourages a relaxed atmosphere.  Rotorua is famous for its exciting geothermal activity including geysers and mud pools. It also has a prominent Maori culture and a thriving adventure tourism industry.

Enjoy friendly Kiwi hospitality, superb scenery and terrain that will delight cycle enthusiasts – knowing that each evening, there is a comfortable lodge and excellent cuisine awaiting you.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old.

Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source.

Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..”, comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.

Beautiful Berlin

Beautiful Berlin

London is situated in southeastern England, lying astride the River Thames some 50 miles (80 km) upstream from its estuary on the North Sea. In satellite photographs the metropolis can be seen to sit compactly in a Green Belt of open land, with its principal ring highway (the M25 motorway) threaded around it at a radius of about 20 miles (30 km) from the city centre.

The growth of the built-up area was halted by strict town planning controls in the mid-1950s. Its physical limits more or less correspond to the administrative and statistical boundaries separating the metropolitan county of Greater London from the “home counties” of Kent, Surrey, and Berkshire (in clockwise order) to the south of the river and Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and Essex to the north.

The historic counties of Kent, Hertfordshire, and Essex extend in area beyond the current administrative counties with the same names to include substantial parts of the metropolitan county of Greater London, which was formed in 1965. Most of Greater London south of the Thames belongs to the historic county of Surrey, while most of Greater London north of the Thames belongs historically to the county of Middlesex. Area Greater London, 607 square miles (1,572 square km). Pop. (2001) Greater London, 7,172,091; (2011 prelim.) Greater London, 8,173,941.
