I am a website developer, and I have worked on a number of websites using WordPress as my main platform. Recently, I have started developing on Dot Net Nuke 7.0 CMS – it’s a brand new platform for me, but so far I am finding it very user-friendly. What stands out in particular, and what I am really grateful for, is how Dot Net Nuke 7.0 CMS doesn’t require a separate admin page opened on a different window – meaning, everything can be done on a single page. After having developed websites on both platforms, I think it is fair to say that DNN 7.0 is faster and more convenient to use than WordPress.
Loading any CMS framework for the first time is always a bit of a wait – unless of course, it uses basic HTML. But once that hurdle’s been overcome, DNN 7.0 only takes a fraction of a second to navigate through pages. Most websites I’ve made at Unleashing Potential have an internal page load/navigation time that’s under 1.5 seconds, sometimes even as low as 0.50 – it’s like I’ve struck gold. This is invaluable, especially when it comes to getting higher ranks on Google Search.
The websites I’ve developed on WordPress tend to be very time-consuming when it comes to navigation between internal pages. This can be problematic since Google prefers faster-loading pages so that it can rapidly browse through the website and give prompt results in return.
WordPress has been praised by many developers from all around the globe, and there’s no doubt that it has very good aspects to offer as well. But if we’re talking about platforms that are rapid, convenient and user-friendly, then I’d say DNN 7.0 takes the gold at the finish line.
